SERVICE LEARNING
|
Service Learning gives students the opportunity to volunteer at community organizations for a class project or student club. Participating students should make genuine connections between their course studies and their service work, all while making their own communities a better place to live! |

Find a volunteer position.
Get connected to the world around you! Engage in helping people in our community. The first step in participating in a service learning project is to check our Community Partner Organization List to learn about local organizations that rely on service volunteers. Try to choose a community partner organization that will provide you real-world connections relative to the course you are taking concurrently. This list is also valuable for any student in a club or outside organization looking for a volunteer opportunity.

Keep up with your paperwork.
ONLINE: Complete the online Service Learning Information page before you begin any work hours for your project. Use the online work hours report to keep track of your work hours and duties. Note: The online form still requires a one-page agreement from the student, community partner organization contact, and instructor. It must be printed and turned in before commencing service learning hours.
ON PAPER: If you do not have internet access to complete forms and keep track of work hours, use the the paper form of the Service Learning Agreement (which includes a signature page). Please be sure to turn it in to your instructor before you begin any work hours for your project.
