SERVICE LEARNING

Service Learning gives students the opportunity to volunteer at community organizations for a class project or student club. Participating students should make genuine connections between their course studies and their service work, all while making their own communities a better place to live!

Participation Requirements

Find a volunteer position.

See our Community Organization List to learn about local organizations that rely on volunteers.

Keep up with your paperwork.

Turn in your Service Learning Agreement before you begin any work hours for your project. Use the Work Hours Report to keep track of your work hours and duties.

Habitat House

Be reliable.

Follow the Student Expectations and remember that the agency where you are volunteering is counting on you.

Make Connections.

A true service learning experience helps you to better understand ideas, theories, and skills that you learn in your class. Our sample Reflection Questions may help you to begin thinking critically about connections between your volunteer service and your course work.

Get & Give Feedback.

Have your site supervisor complete your Student Evaluation. Then, tell us how we can improve by filling out the Student Feedback Survey!
