NC Residence and Tuition Status Application

All applicants are required to complete a Residency Application prior to submitting their admissions application.

Military Tuition Benefit

Certain members of the armed services and their dependent relative(s) may become eligible to be charged less than the out-of-state tuition rate even if they do not qualify as residents for tuition purposes.  Submit the Military Tuition Benefit application with all required affidavits.

Company Sponsorship

When a North Carolina employer, other than the armed services, pays tuition for an employee to attend a community college, and when the employee works at a North Carolina business location, the employer shall be charged the in-state tuition rate.  Submit the Company Sponsorship form with supporting documents.

Academic Forgiveness form

Academic forgiveness is designed to assist returning students with low grades to have a fresh start upon re-enrolling after having at least a three-year period of non-enrollment at CFCC.  Submit the Academic Forgiveness form after you have successfully completed one semester at CFCC following your return to CFCC.

Non-Disclosure Release

Students have the right to withhold disclosure of any directory information by completing a Request for Non-disclosure. Requests for non-disclosure must be filed annually.

GED Test

GED Testing information, including testing Dates, Times, Locations, and Costs.

GED Transcript  Request

If you obtained your GED in North Carolina, you must request it from the state GED office in Raleigh. If you obtained your GED outside of North Carolina and wish to enroll at CFCC, you must request the transcript from the state where the GED was issued.  If you can’t find the contact details for this center, the national test center should be able to help you.

Adult High School Transcript Request

To obtain your AHS Transcript that you received through CFCC, submit the AHS Transcript Request form. Follow the directions on the form for paying the required transcript fee Please allow 48 hours for processing.   Academic Transcript/Test Scores Request This form can be used to request your high school and/or college transcript or placement test scores from other institutions. Please note that many secondary and post-secondary schools charge a fee for transcripts.

CW9S Social Security Number Form

Cape Fear Community College must get your correct identifying number to file Form 1098-T, Tuition Statement, with the IRS and to furnish a statement to you. This will be your Social Security number (SSN) or, if you are not eligible to obtain an SSN, your individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN). Form 1098-T contains information about qualified tuition and related expenses to help determine whether you, or the person who can claim you as a dependent, may take either the tuition and fees deduction or claim an education credit to reduce Federal income tax. Under federal law, you are required to provide the requested information.
