Welcome

The Basic Skills Department can help improve reading, writing, math and communication skills so students may obtain a high school diploma or prepare for a high school equivalency exam like the GED® Test. English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are also offered.

All classes are free of charge and offered at CFCC’s downtown location, North Campus, Burgaw Center and other convenient locations throughout New Hanover and Pender Counties. Online courses are also available for Adult High School (AHS) and preparation for the GED® Test.
