The Humanities and Fine Arts Center will be a state of the art facility that will house classroom and office space for CFCC’s growing humanities and fine arts classes. The building will include studio space for visual arts students, practice rooms for student musicians, and rehearsal space for drama students. The center will include a 1,500-seat performing arts auditorium, which will be used for college productions and events along with events and performances for the general public.

Union Station

This building will provide much needed classrooms to alleviate overcrowding in general education courses and provide more space for student services like financial aid, counseling, job placement and others.

Location: Downtown Wilmington - corner of Front and Red Cross - next to former Wilmington Police Department

Size: 250,000 s.f.

Union Station Parking Deck

Located behind the Schwartz Center, it will hold 1,000-1,200 cars and is scheduled to begin construction in mid-2010 and be completed by early 2012.

Nutt Street Parking Deck

The Nutt St. Parking Deck is currently under construction and is directly across Front Street from the future Union Station site.

The parking deck is funded by the 2000 statewide bond referendum. It will hold 450 vehicles and is scheduled to be completed in April 2010.

This building will provide much needed high-tech lab space offer increased customized job training to attract new businesses to the area and help existing businesses expand and add more jobs.
