Christine Massey

I received my MA in English from UNC Wilmington; I taught literature and composition there for four years before recently becoming part of the CFCC English faculty. Currently I teach ENG 111 (Expository Writing) and ENG 112 (Argument-Based Research Writing), both face-to-face and online.

Regardless of your future goals, the ability to write well is an indispensable skill. It is a highly marketable skill, and one which can provide a lot of personal satisfaction. I believe when you write well, you think more clearly.

E.M. Forster once wrote, “How can I know what I think until I see what I say?” English classes give you the opportunity to test out your thoughts in order to better understand your thoughts. You will have the chance to examine your life and your place in the world. You will think critically, and have fun while doing so.

You are always welcome to come visit me in S-310 if you have any questions, or you just want to say hi!
