Spring Forum: The Many Faces of Philanthropy

The English Department is presenting its annual Spring Forum, “The Many Faces of Philanthropy,” on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 16, BB&T Auditorium, North Campus, 1-3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 17, S-002, Downtown Campus, 12-2 p.m.

Faculty, staff, students, administration, and the general public are invited to attend this free event.

Each forum will begin with a panel of esteemed instructors and members of the community speaking on issues related to service and philanthropy. A question and answer segment will follow. Audience members are invited to come and go as schedules permit. Instructors are encouraged to bring class sections.

Our panels include Susan Stern (History), Rachel Satzman (Anthropology), Shane Oakley (Philosophy), Beth Cherry (Philanthropist), Sonya Beachman (Nursing), Jeff Rose (former Peace Corps Volunteer in Guinea), and moderators Gena McKinley (English) and Cheryl Saba (English).

We look forward to an informative and enlightening discussion!
