CFCC Alumni Association Announces First Homecoming Celebration
WILMINGTON, NC; February 6, 2009: The Cape Fear Community College Alumni Association invites all CFCC alumni to attend its first “Alumni Homecoming” celebration in the lobby of the Schwartz Center at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009 before the men’s basketball game against Brunswick Community College.
The homecoming event, featuring the theme of “Reconnect with CFCC; Come Grow with Us!” will begin with a pre-game reception and activities throughout the game, which begins at 7 p.m. The event is open to all alumni and their families and includes an appetizer buffet, giveaways and a raffle. Admission to the reception and game are free to alumni who bring their membership cards or who sign up for the alumni association at the reception. Alumni who plan to attend the event are asked to RSVP to 910-362-7659 by February 18, 2009.
The Alumni Homecoming event is just one of the events the Alumni Association is planning for the upcoming year. The CFCC Alumni Council is focusing their planning efforts on fun, family-friendly events designed for alumni of all ages. Council President Dawn Hale says, “The more fun we have, the more interest we will have in the Alumni Association.”
In addition to the Alumni Homecoming, the basketball game will feature Fire Safety Appreciation Night, Phi Theta Kappa/ Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Night, and Corporate Sponsor Night.
