Local Engineering Firm Gives to CFCC Foundation
WILMINGTON, NC – Andrew Consulting Engineers recently donated $2,000 to the Cape Fear Community College Foundation.
Father and son team Rod and Neal Andrew have been working with Cape Fear Community College for years. Their firm, Andrew Consulting Engineers, P.C. has been involved with many of the building projects on both CFCC campuses. The firm has also employed several CFCC graduates.
“Many of our current and former employees received their education at Cape Fear Community College. That training has really benefited our business. We welcome the opportunity to give back to the college and to support future students,” said Neal Andrew.
Andrew Consulting Engineers have been supporters of student scholarships and program development at CFCC since 1998.
“We’ve enjoyed working with the college. CFCC has been good to us, so we’re glad to support its students,” added Rod Andrew. “CFCC has been a real godsend to us, especially in tough economic times, so we’re happy to give back.”
Andrew Consulting has been part of the design team on many projects with CFCC. They are currently working on the Union Station project as consulting engineers.
Rod Andrew says the most rewarding part of ACE’s involvement with CFCC is knowing that the buildings they are helping design will one day house classes where students can improve their futures. “We are the engineers of record of many buildings at CFCC. When I walk through the buildings at CFCC, I love seeing the students getting hands-on training, and knowing these students will get jobs – good paying jobs,” he said.
Andrew Consulting Engineers, P.C. provides Wilmington, North Carolina and the southeast with structural, marine and forensic engineering as well as overall project management. Created by Neal W. Andrew, P.E. and John R. Andrew, P.E. in February 2004, ACE, P.C. promises excellence and integrity — in design, client relationships and community leadership.
