On September 27, Dr. Frank Sells, interim president of Cape Fear Community College, along with Susan Booth and Bob Philpott, employee co-chairs of the CFCC Campus Fund Drive, presented a ceremonial check to the CFCC Foundation for $77,000. The check represented the collective donations of more than five hundred CFCC employees who donated during the college’s annual employee fund drive in September, which focused on a theme of “raising hopes and fulfilling dreams” for CFCC students. The funds collected will be used to provide scholarships and support initiatives for students, such as departmental grants for innovative academic programs. Over 75% of the college’s full-time employees have already contributed to the fund, and donations will continue throughout the year.

Empower students.
Provide hope in our community.
