Alliance Credit Union supports business students at CFCC through $1000 scholarship
Alliance Credit Union recently donated $1000 to Cape Fear Community College for a business program scholarship. The $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a second-year business student who is a resident of New Hanover, Pender or Brunswick County.
The Alliance Credit Union Business Program Scholarship was established in 2011. This is the third year a CFCC student will receive the scholarship.
“Alliance Credit Union is proud to partner with the CFCC Foundation,” said Rick DeCrescente, Alliance Credit Union Regional Vice President. “CFCC truly makes a difference in our community by helping students achieve their dreams.”
“We’re honored to help students who are working so diligently to achieve their educational goals,” said Rachel Lee Robinson, Alliance Credit Union Business Relations Manager.
Alliance Credit Union also supports Adopt and Angel, The Carousel Center for Abused Children, Cell Phones for Soldiers and other charitable groups. “We strive to make a meaningful impact in the community around us,” said Robinson. “Alliance Credit Union is here because the community supports us. We embrace the opportunity to give back.”
Alliance Credit Union is a member-owned, financial cooperative serving more than 40,000 members in six counties—Santa Clara, San Mateo and Alameda counties in California, and New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick counties in North Carolina.
