Wilmington Woman’s Club Provides Scholarships to CFCC Women

TheÂ Wilmington Woman’s ClubÂ recently presentedÂ scholarships to four local students, threeÂ from Cape Fear Community CollegeÂ and one fromÂ UNCW, for the 2012-13 academic year. The Wilmington Woman’s Club was established in 1964 and promotes educational, cultural and social activities for its members, as well as aÂ deep commitment to philanthropy. The club supports numerous local nonprofit organizations as well as scholarships for local women.Â Since 1996, theÂ Club has provided $60,000 in scholarship assistance to nursing and early childhood education students at Cape Fear Community College.
The club’s primary fundraiser is the Coastal Living Show,Â which showcases to the public a variety of gifts, products, and services for the home, garden, office, and seaside living.
