Help Us Reach 2012 Members in 2012!
The CFCC Alumni Association has set a goal of reaching 2012 total members this year. If you have not officially joined, please complete your alumni profile. It’s FREE and we’ll send you an official membership card that you can use to get discounts in the community and access other benefits. Give to the CFCC Alumni Legacy Scholarship!
As each new member joins the CFCC Alumni Association on our website, we receive another personal story about how CFCC has changed a life in our community. As the Association enters its fifth year, we feel it’s an appropriate time not only to look forward, but to give back to the school that, in the words of another one of our recently-added members, “ignited a passion within me to learn.” Please consider supporting the brand-new CFCC Alumni Association Endowed Legacy Scholarship. We hope to raise a minimum of $10,000 to endow this scholarship in 2012. The good news is that our goal can easily be reached if each one of our current alumni members donates just a small amount! Please consider a gift equal to the year you graduated. For example, if you graduated in 1978, please consider giving $19.78. Of course, if you can afford to give more, it will help endow the scholarship even sooner. To give, click on the “Give Now” button at the top right of this page. The CFCC Alumni Council
The CFCC Alumni Council, the governing body for the alumni association, meets quarterly and plans exciting events for CFCC alumni. The council was formed in May 2008 when it approved its by-laws and elected officers. Current officers Dave Mathews ’78, president and Becket Morgan ’10, vice-president, welcome you to join them on the council. If you graduated from CFCC with a degree, certificate or diploma, and would like more information about upcoming meetings, or council in general, please email alumnew@cfcc.edu.
Our Mission
In celebration of Cape Fear Community College’s 50th anniversary in 2008, CFCC established the CFCC Alumni Association. The Mission of the CFCC Alumni Association is to form partnerships and strengthen relationships between the community, the College and its alumni. Initiatives will be based on the Assocaition’s core values of giving back through involvement, fellowship and service. The association will be a positive, goal-oriented steward for CFCC, its mission and goals.
