Office of Sponsored Programs (Federal Grants only)
The purpose of the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is to facilitate and increase opportunities for external funding and to provide information and assistance to faculty and staff in their pursuit and management of federal grants.
OSP provides services including identifying external funding sources and assistance in writing and submission of proposals to federal funding agencies. OSP will review the proposals prior to submission to ensure that they conform to federal rules and guidelines and CFCC policies. When a proposal is accepted and funded, OSP will monitor the implementation of the project and will be responsible for the compliance of agency requirements.
OSP serves as a central resource to support sponsored programs and provides Pre and Post-Award services. Pre-award services include identifying funding sources, preliminary review, approval, and submission of all proposals. To serve you effectively, OSP requires that all draft proposals be submitted ten work days before the deadline for review and five work days before submission date for final review. Please check deadlines. The post-award services include monitoring and tracking of grant compliance, and working with the Principal Investigator (or faculty) to help ensure the successful completion of the grant project. The Director of Grant Development will oversee both sections and will be responsible for all aspects of the grant cycle.
