Completed Projects So Far.

The MarTech website is complete and you can view it here. Launching the site had it’s fair share of snags but overall an improvement compared to the original.

While you are enjoying the new MarTech website, have  a look at the wp-theme  I threw together for the News and Events Blog.

“Threw together” is really a good description for how that project went down. I started and finished it very quickly. I wasn’t trying to reinvent the wheel for this project. I just wanted an updated look that matched the rest of the CFCC.edu website.

Mobile Site 2010: Library In The Pocket.

First of all Kudos to you if you get the Mobile Suit Gundam reference. (Yeah, Yeah, I know. I’m a nerd)

The CFCC library is taking a foray into the realm of mobile web pages and I’m going along for the ride. New Project Sneak-Peak

I’m in a sharing mood today. (Aren’t you lucky.) I’m going to show off some of the website mock-ups recently submitted to the Humanities and Fine Arts and Marine Technology Departments. These are far from complete and are currently being evaluated by the departments, so the jury is still out on which of the designs will be the final.

I’ve opened this post to comments so feel free to leave feedback.

2010: The Year We Made… Websites?

I try to keep this blog “project centric”. Most of my work revolves around content management and technical support for website contributors. That type of stuff is not really blog worthy. Big projects are not rare, they just take time to complete. Especially projects that involve academic departments. I have dry spells when the school is closed for the holidays or not running at full capacity. To put it bluntly when the faculty leave so do the projects. So, consequently this blog suffers from dry spells.

Wrapping Up for the Holidays.

Counting this little post I’ll  wrap up the year with 15 Blogs posts. This does not include the tutorials I’ve posted to the DIY Web Resources blog. I’m not tooting my horn, but at the beginning of 2009 I promised more posts to this here work blog. I’ve delivered one blog post a month which is plenty considering that no one is reading this.

To close out the year I’ll share with a few projects that are either finished or in development.

We have finally installed our first web cam. It’s primary purpose is to record and catalog the construction of Union Station.  The camera is a Pan Tilt Zoom dome camera capable of 360 degree movement and an impressive zoom.
