Jada Ach received an MA in English-Creative Writing with a Poetry Emphasis from Northern Arizona University (2007) and a BA in English and Spanish with minors in anthropology and women’s studies from Ball State University (2003). She has participated in international literary programs in Lithuania and Portugal. Additionally, she has studied abroad in Argentina, Spain, and Brazil.

Jada’s poetry has been published or is forthcoming in Southwest American Literature, Southern Humanities Review, Summerset Review, Lowestoft Chronicle, Weave Magazine, Barnwood Press Magazine, Blast Furnace, and elsewhere. Her poem “Shuttle Anthem: Atlanta International” was performed at CFCC’s Arts Poetica Festival in 2009, and in 2010 her poem “To Whom It May Concern” was made into a short film for the festival. She is a Fellow of the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts.

Before working as an English instructor at CFCC, she taught English at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, as well as the Navajo Nation’s Diné Community College in Tuba City, AZ. In 2003-04 Jada worked as an assistant teacher at an at-risk charter high school on the Pasqua Yaqui Reservation in Tucson, AZ.

Jada continues to work on her own writing and eat (too much) delicious food. Her website is https://sites.google.com/site/jadaach/
