 She has been teaching at Cape Fear Community College for four years. She teaches English 095,  111, 112, and 131. 

Before teaching at CFCC, she taught at Palm Beach Community College(PBCC) for four years. She taught English and Developmental English courses. She also worked as the Reading Learning Specialist and managed the reading learning lab at PBCC.
