Celebrate national Poem In Your Pocket Day on Thursday, April 14, 2011!

The idea is simple: select a poem you love during National Poetry Month then carry it with you to share with co-workers, family, and friends.  Visit poets.org/pocket for free downloadable pocket poems or for more information about Poem In Your Pocket Day.

National Library Workers Day is a day for library staff, users, administrators and Friends groups to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers.  NLWD is celebrated each year on the Tuesday of National Library Week.

Pick a poem (or two, or three..) and celebrate National Poetry Month! Celebrate the art form by taking a poem to lunch, revisiting an old favorite, discovering a new one or putting one on the pavement. From bleak to silly, there is a poem to suit every taste!

Looking for a book or journal article that the library doesn’t own? Then use our Interlibrary Loan Service, also known as ILL. Most books can be borrowed from another library at no cost; however some libraries do charge for interlibrary loans. We are usually able to obtain journal articles at no cost too, but sometimes the provider charges a fee.
