WILMINGTON â€“ This August, students at Cape Fear Community College will be able to start taking courses in a new program to learn how to become a manager in the construction trade.
The construction management technology programÂ will begin in the fall semester and is designed to prepare individuals for careers in the construction management field. Such positions may include project manager, superintendent, estimator, or foreman.
Course work includes safety, planning, scheduling, cost control, productivity, human relations, estimating, and building codes. Students will also gain proficiency in specific construction related skills.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will earn an associate in applied science degree and should qualify for entry-level positions in the field of construction management.
