It’s time to dust off those green thumbs for the annual spring plant sale at Cape Fear Community College.
All winter, students in CFCC’s landscape gardening program have been cultivating thousands of plants in greenhouses located at the North Campus on Blue Clay Rd.
Over 3,000 plants will be on sale, including sweet potato vines, lantana, wave petunias, zinnias and pentas. Vegetable plants include: variety of “heirloom” tomatoes, squash, peppers and eggplants.
The sale will be held on Thursday and Friday (March 31 and April 1) from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Prices vary, but start at $1 per plant. Most of the vegetable plants are $2 each. Customers must pay by cash or checks only. Funds raised will be used to support the program and future students.
The CFCC landscape gardening center is located at CFCC’s North Campus in Castle Hayne. Take the Education Loop entrance off of Sidbury Rd.
