‘Sex Matters’ Event to Promote Sexual Responsibility
Cape Fear Community College will host a series of free informational forumsĀ at the fourth annualĀ ”Sex Matters” event on Tuesday, April 3 at the downtown Wilmington Campus.
According to event coordinator Bethaney Ferguson, the goal of the event is to communicate the necessity of taking personal responsibility for sexual health and decisions. This event will focus on dispelling myths about sexually transmitted diseases as well as offering practical information regarding birth control, sexual assault, and prevention, testing and treatment of STIs.
Presentations begin at 10 a.m. will be made by the New Hanover County Health Department, Coastal Horizons, Open Gate Domestica Violence Shelter, Planned Parenthood and the New Hanover County District Attorney’s Office.
