As current Cape Fear Community College President Eric McKeithan prepares for his last day as the college’s leader on Friday, the list of potential successors for his position has been narrowed to six finalists.
The CFCC Presidential Search Committee met this afternoon and chose six candidates which will be considered for interviews. The college plans to contact each of the finalists to notify them of their selection and will release the names in late July or early August.
Search committee chairman Jason Harris said that he is pleased with the candidates that were chosen and added that the group reached a consensus quickly.
Interviews are expected to begin at the college in mid-August. As part of the final selection process, each finalist will be expected to participate in an on-campus question and answer forum and then be interviewed by the board of trustees.
