CFCC Offers Medical Coding Specialist Program

CFCC offers the Medical Coding Specialist Program through Continuing Education every semester for all participants who have an interest in becoming a Certified Medical Coder. This 12-14 month program will introduce the student to Medical Terminology/Anatomy & Physiology for the Medical Office, Introduction to Medical Billing/Coding, Advanced Medical Coding & Certification Exam Preparation. If you are interested in becoming a certified medical coder an orientation will be held Saturday, December 1st starting at 10 a.m. at 805 North Third St. Registration and payment will be done on December 1st. Seating is limited for both the online and face to face classes. Class start date is January 15, 2013. Please note: NO financial assistance is available and this program is not for college credit. Each student will earn a certificate of completion upon finishing each class. Exam will be administered by AAPC or AHIMA and paid for separate from CFCC costs. All RN’s, LPN’s, or MD’s may start with Introduction to Medical Billing/Coding and prior to registration, a copy of your current license will need to be provided.
