Wilmington resident Wilma W. Daniels will be officially honored at Cape Fear Community College for her years of support to the college’s foundation.
Over the past decade, Ms. Daniels has supported the college through her work on the CFCC Foundation Board and has provided scholarships and financial assistance for dozens of students.
In honor of her commitment to the college, the CFCC Board of Trustees named the former Hanover Art Gallery in her honor in December. The college will officially dedicate the gallery with a name unveiling ceremony and reception on Tuesday, April 16 from 5-7 p.m.
“Ms. Daniels is one of our most dedicated supporters. Her generosity has played a positive role in the lives of so many of our students. It’s fitting that the art gallery bear her name,” said CFCC President Dr. Ted D. Spring.
The Wilma W. Daniels Art Gallery is located at 200 N. Hanover St. directly across the street from the site of CFCC’s Humanities and Fine Arts Center.
Each month, the gallery hosts artists’ work from throughout the region and serves as a display area for student and faculty work.
