Substance Abuse Counseling Program

The CFCC Continuing Education Department offers Substance Abuse Counseling Courses for individuals interested in becoming a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).  Registration is now open for the classes beginning the first week in May.  For additional information, contact 910-362-7170.

This program is made up of 3 individual courses designed to provide the 270 hours of training required to become a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor.  Additional requirements for becoming a CSAC, such as supervision and clinical experience, will be the responsibility of the student.  The courses are approved by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB).  For additional information regarding the requirements to become a CSAC, go to www.ncsappb.org.
