CFCC’s Sustainability Technologies Program Announces Second Annual Capstone Conference, May 4

The Cape Fear Community College Sustainability Technologies Program is pleased to announce the second annual Capstone Conference on May 4.  Thirteen graduating students from the program will be showcasing their Capstone projects in the fields of energy, sustainability, and building technology.  This year’s event will feature a diverse and exciting group of projects including an ASHRAE Level 2 industrial energy audit, an investigation of the plastics recycling industry, and a demonstration of several green building techniques.  Lunch will feature keynote speaker Suzanne Gooding, Sustainability Project Manager for the City of Wilmington.  Displays will be set up focusing on technologies from this year’s as well as past year’s capstone projects.

This free event will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the McKeithan Center on CFCC’s North Campus and is open to students, employees and the general public. Please RSVP by May 1, 2013 to Robin Mead, conference coordinator at or (513) 334-9804.
