Wilmington, NC – Wells Fargo recently donated $5000 to Cape Fear Community College for business scholarships.
The Wells Fargo Foundation Annual Scholarship in Business is awarded to CFCCstudents enrolled in business programs or to students with a pre-major in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Marketing who plan to transfer to a four-year institution upon completion of the Associates of Arts degree.
“We are very honored to be able to award our business students with scholarship funds through the Wells Fargo Scholarship Grant,” said Melissa Watson, CFCC Business Department Chair. ”These scholarship funds help business students pay for tuition, books and supplies, and other school-related expenses. Even though many students receive financial aid funding, some still do not receive quite enough to help pay for all the expenses required to go to school full-time. We have students who may not have been be able to complete their degrees had it not been for these grant funds. We are truly grateful.”
“On behalf of our team members at Wells Fargo, I am very proud of our long relationship with Cape Fear Community College and the number of scholarships we have provided to deserving students each year,” said Randy Tomsic, Wilmington Market President. “We at Wells Fargo recognize the good work and importance of the community college in Wilmington and the Cape Fear Region.”
