More than 500 people attended the college’s employee meeting at CFCC’s Schwartz Center on August 14, which is held annually to welcome new employees to the college, recognize employees’ long-time service and present awards for outstanding performance.
Award winners were nominated by their fellow employees and students at the college.
This year’s award winners are:

She became a full time employee in 2000. She spent 8 years as the Associate Executive Director of the CFCC Foundation. CFCC students who nominated Hightower remarked that Hightower encourages her students to do their best work, and that she is always available to listen and help. Hightower received a medallion to wear at official ceremonies and a $2000 stipend.
