Internationally recognized nuclear energy expert Margaret Harding of 4 Factor Consulting will speak at the BB&T Auditorium on CFCC’s North Campus in Castle Hayne on Tuesday, October 22 at 6:30 pm.
Margaret Harding has 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry – she spent many of those years at GE Nuclear Energy, departing as Vice President, Engineering Quality. She’s now a consultant to the nuclear power industry where she advises clients on a wide variety of opportunities and issues, including design and licensing, economic evaluations, and quality programs. She created and teaches a course that sets the nuclear industry in context of politics, economics, society, and technology for engineering students at Iowa State University.
As the aftermath of the Fukushima earthquake and tsunami unfolded, she was called upon by NBC, FOX, CNN, New York Times, Today Show, Nature, Discovery Channel, and many others to explain and help bring clarity to the situation.
“We’re excited to bring an expert with such an amazing background to CFCC,” said Dr. Ted D. Spring, president of Cape Fear Community College. “Ms. Harding has a wealth of experience, which will surely be inspiring to anyone in attendance.”
The lecture is free and open to the public. For more about Margaret Harding, visit http://www.4factorconsulting.com/about
