Forum: Guiding Our Destinies with Heritage and Traditions

As part of Native American Heritage month, Cape Fear Community College will host a special forum entitled “Guiding Our Destiny with Heritage and Traditions” on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Wilma Daniels Art Gallery in downtown Wilmington.

Learn how cultural heritage education in colleges and universities are creating the next generation of leaders. CFCC hosts officials from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, who will discuss the wide range of living cultural expression that exists in Native American communities.

Presenters include Dr. Cammie Hunt,  Associate Vice Chancellor for Engaged Outreach, UNC Pembroke, Dr. Charles Tita, Director of Distance Education, UNC Pembroke and Dr. Darek Hunt, Director for the Regional Center and Community Outreach, UNC Pembroke.
