The Wilmington Woman’s Club was established in 1964 and promotes educational, cultural and social activities for its members, as well as a deep commitment to philanthropy. The club supports numerous local nonprofit organizations as well as scholarships for local women. Since 1996, the Club has provided $60,000 in scholarship assistance to nursing and early childhood education students at Cape Fear Community College.
The club’s primary fundraiser is the Coastal Living Show, which showcases to the public a variety of gifts, products, and services for the home, garden, office, and seaside living. All proceeds from the show are distributed to charitable organizations. The 2014 Coastal Living Show is scheduled for March 22-23, 2014 at Cape Fear Community College’s Schwartz Center.
