Cape Fear Community College’s North Campus is hosting an Interpersonal Violence Awareness Event on Thursday, February 13. The day will consist of three different sessions focusing on violence and self-defense.
The first session, Sexual Violence 101: Facts vs. Fiction Forum, will be presented by Jessica Green from Coastal Horizons’ Rape Crisis Center from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in BB&T Auditorium. The second session, Complications of Relationship Violence Forum, will be presented by Christopher Adam, WPD and Andrea Stough from Open Gate Domestic Violence Shelter and Services from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in BB&T Auditorium. The final session of the day is a Self-Defense Workshop presented by CFCC instructors Doc Wilson and Greg Arey from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in NA 120.
The Interpersonal Violence Awareness Event and sessions are free and open to students, employees, and the public.
