Cape Fear Community College received a $3,000 grant from The Landfall Foundation to assist students finishing CFCC’s Dental Hygiene program. The funds helped CFCC students afford certification exams required for employment and will ultimately enable the students to start working in their field.

Regina McBarron, chairperson of CFCC’s Health Science programs, said that the Landfall Foundation grant helps students complete one of the final steps toward securing a job. “The generous support of the Landfall Foundation has been instrumental in our Health Science students’ success scheduling and passing their certification exams. Timing can sometimes be the key factor and the Foundation’s funding expedites that process.”

The mission of the Landfall Foundation is to provide funds to local nonprofit organizations for programs and projects that provide for the arts, education, and health and welfare in the greater Wilmington, North Carolina area.
