Career and Technical Education Certificate Programs

This program is designed for accelerated high school juniors and seniors who are ready to get a head start on career and technical courses that will lead to a career.

You will need to select one of the following certificate programs. The program you select must align with your high school Career Cluster.

Business Administration

Cosmetology

Collision Repair and Refinishing

Criminal Justice

Construction Management

Welding Technology

 

Admission Requirements*

To be accepted to this program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a high school junior or senior;
  • Have a weighted GPA of 3.0 on high school courses or have the approval of your high school principal or designee;
  • Meet all program prerequisites.
 

Application Process

The Deadline for applications for the Fall 2012 semester is May 1st, 2012: Your application and current high school transcripts (if applicable) must be submitted and processed before you can register for your fall classes.
  • NEW Students: Complete the Career and College Promise Application.
  • Home Schools: Your home school administrator will sign as your principal or designee. Home school students must submit documentation that the home school is registered with the North Carolina Department of Non-Public Instruction.
