Career Pathways Academies
CFCC's Career Pathway Academies are three tracks of courses designed to teach employable skills. Students are able to choose from several areas ranging from:
- Skilled Trades
- Health Sciences
- Office Administration
Skilled Trades - $178
The skilled trades career pathway will introduce you to the knowledge and skills you’ll need for an entry-level job working in vocational trades. Through the skilled trades academy students can receive a certificate illustrating their knowledge and experience in:
- Electrical
- Masonry
- Carpentry
- HVAC
Join the academy and gain hands-on experience in each of these trades from seasoned certified instructors.
Health Sciences - $183
The Health Sciences Academy is for those individuals with an interest in careers in health care. This pathway introduces occupations such as:
- Nurse
- Nurse’s Aide
- Medical Assistant
- EMT
- Phlebotomist
- Nutritionist
- Occupational Therapy Assistant and more…
Students will also learn basic medical terminology and simple record keeping guidelines. Those who successfully complete the courses will be certified in CPR/First AID, and will gain 10 points towards getting into the Pharmaceutical Tech curriculum program here at Cape Fear.
Office Administration - $183
The office administration track will teach you skills to be an asset to any employer or simply become and entrepreneur starting your own business. Within this path you will learn valued introductory office skills to enhance your marketability in today’s competitive job market.
