Corporate & Continuing Education Training
CFCC provides training in many areas through its Continuing Education Departmental Programs. Classes are held at the Wilmington downtown campus and at other locations throughout New Hanover and Pender counties. Most classes prepare individuals for employment, upgrade workers already employed, or provide avenues for individuals to improve their social and cultural standing within the community.

The Barber Training Day Program is a 12-14 month program. Students will attend school 8am – 4:15pm Monday through Thursday. The Barber Training Night Program is a 14-16 month program. Students will attend school 5pm – 10:15pm Monday through Friday. The Barber Training Program provides the skills necessary to become a professional barber! The program will prepare the students for the North Carolina Board Exam which will result in an apprentice license. The successful student will be qualified to work in an entry level position in a barber shop or related business. After at least one year of on the job training another exam is given by the Barber Board to issue a Registered Barber License.

Cape Fear Community College in partnership with the Division of Workforce Solutions in New Hanover and Pender counties, is offering the Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) program. The CRC is a portable credential recognized by many employers across the State and nationwide that allows a job candidate to prove his/her skills in three areas – Applied Math, Reading, and Locating Information.

The Continuing Education Department of Cape Fear Community College offers a variety of non-credit, instructor-led classes over the Internet. Each course runs for 6 weeks and consists of 12 lessons, supplemented by interactive quizzes, assignments, tutorials, and online discussions available via the World Wide Web.
