Insurance Pre-Licensing

The Cape Fear Community College Insurance Pre-Licensing courses are designed to help students learn about the many facets of the insurance field in North Carolina. On the final day of class, students will take a pre-test that will prepare them for the North Carolina Department of Insurance exam.

Property & Casualty

This is an in-person pre-licensing class for selling insurance and/or being a claims adjuster. The class will teach students the general principles of Property & Casualty insurance and any topics the Commissioner deems relevant to the pursuit of an insurance license. Students must be present at all meeting times of their particular class and pass a pre-test to take the state test and obtain a license. During the final night of class, students will take the pre-exam.

This class is required for a producer’s license. A score of 80% or higher on an examination at the end of the course permits one to take the North Carolina State Property and Casualty Insurance Exam .
