Insurance Pre-Licensing

The Cape Fear Community College Insurance Pre-Licensing courses are designed help students learn about the many facets of the insurance field in North Carolina. On the final day of class, students will take a pre-test that will prepare them for the North Carolina Department of Insurance exam.

** We are excited to announce a new feature to these classes…all students who complete the coursework will be guaranteed at least one interview with a local insurance firm that is hiring. Let’s say it again…you are guaranteed an interview. **

Property & Casualty

This is a pre-licensing class for selling insurance and/or being a claims adjuster. The class will teach students the general principles of Property & Casualty insurance and any topics the Commissioner deems relevant to the pursuit of an insurance license. Students must be present at all meeting times of their particular class and pass a pre-test to take the state test and obtain a license. During the final night of class, students will take the pre-exam.

This class is required for a producer’s license. A score of 80% or higher on an examination at the end of the course permits one to take the North Carolina State Property and Casualty Insurance Exam.

Our instructor’s number one goal is to help you pass the state exam!
