Staff
Patrick Pittman is the Director of Career & Testing Services. He began working at CFCC in August of 2003. Prior to that, he worked at the NC Community College System Office as the state GED Administrator and coordinator of the GED and Adult High School programs. Mr. Pittman has also taught in the public school system and worked at Carteret Community College as Basic Skills Assessment/Retention Specialist. He received his Master of Art's Degree in Adult Education from ECU in 2000.

Betty Northam has been with CFCC since 1984. She served as secretary to the Director of Career and Testing until 2001 when she was promoted to Testing Technician. Her expertise includes all phases of testing including placement testing, Psychological Service Bureau (PSB) testing for Health Science Programs and since 1997 has served as an Alternate GED Examiner.

Scott Coulthard is the Career Services & Testing Technician for the North Campus. He began working at CFCC in September of 2003. Previously, he was the Site Director of a test-scoring center in Nashville, Tennessee for Measurement Inc., a privately owned company specializing in large-scale academic assessment. He has 12 years of experience related to all phases of academic assessment. He received his Bachelor of Art's Degree in English from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1989.

Bonnie McGlauflin is the Secretary for Career and Testing Services. She began working at CFCC in November of 2002 as the Secretary for the Basic Skills Department. In January of 2008, she joined the Student Development team as Secretary for Registration & Records. In September of 2009 she joined Career and Testing Services. Bonnie is a 2002 graduate of Fayetteville Technical Community College, where she earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Medical Office Administration.

Matthew Thomas joined us as our Career and Job Placement Specialist in September of 2008. Matthew is from Lumberton, North Carolina and is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies. He has worked as a facilitator at UNC-W and program director at the local YMCA. Matthew also serves as a Combat Medic in the United States Army.

Karin Parker, our Career Counselor, loves helping students find and get excited about rewarding careers. Her experience includes Admissions Counseling at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, NC along with school counseling for Pender County Schools. She earned her Master's degree in Counselor Education from East Carolina University and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Karin joined CFCC in April, 2011.
