File Naming and Optimization

Did you know that by including illegal characters in your file names that browsers might fail to display the files online and/or allow retrieval from a learning management system like Blackboard or Moodle? While you might be able to open such a file on your computer and when sent through email, there are certain conventions that you and your students should follow to ensure that files can be viewed online:

Documents that include many graphics can quickly become very large and produce long download times (in addition to taking up a lot of disk space). You can easily compress images in documents, which can significantly decrease the file size. Find out how below:
