Software Tutorials
You will likely use a number of different software applications for your courses. If you would like training (or want to provide students with training), there are a number of good free resources available:
- Microsoft Office and computing skills
GCF LearnFree.org
This site includes many great movie and text tutorials for Microsoft Office products as well as basic computer training, reading, and math instruction. While you do have to register on the site, content is free and the instruction is well-organized. Movie tutorials are close-captioned for accessibility. - Camtasia screen recorder
TechSmith Learning Center: Camtasia
Learn how to create, edit, and publish screen recordings with video, audio, callouts, and captions. The movie tutorials are all close-captioned. - SoftChalk
QuickStart Tutorial (pdf)
Learn how to easily create interactive learnning activities for your courses. SoftChalk is loaded on all computers in the Technology Training Center in the library (L-210). View samples of SoftChalk activities.
