DL Training for Instructors
Note: These workshops are for CFCC distance learning faculty (teaching Internet and/or Hybrid courses) .
All online instructors are required to complete 1) Blackboard 101 (self-paced from a student's perspective) and attend a 2) Getting Started with Blackboard (live or self-paced as an instructor) workshop before teaching online. It is strongly recommended that you also attend a Course Essentials, Grade Center and Assessments workshops, as well as consider attending other distance learning training. Please read the training notes below the calendar before attending a workshop.
New! We are now offering the basic Bb workshops (Getting Started with Blackboard, Bb Assessments, Bb Communication Tools, and Bb Grade Center) as self-paced courses, which you can choose instead of the face-to-face workshop. If you choose this option (select through the registration form), you will be enrolled in a course with an empty shell, and be provided with instructions on how to complete some basic activities. The instructional materials are available to everyone, but you must register and complete the course online to receive credit for this training, if choosing the self-paced option.

NOTE: It may take up to one week after you register for the self-paced versions for the training course to be set up.
