Supplemental Information

You are not required to create any items for section below. This is additional information for future reference.

Pasting text into the text editor

If you choose to copy and paste text from Microsoft Word into the text editor, please note that excessive underlying code in Word can cause display issues in different browsers. There is a solution for this. The Blackboard text editor includes a mashup tool called Paste from Word. This tool will strip out the code and provide a cleaner document.

See instructions on using the Paste from Word mashup tool.

Using the Syllabus Template

There is a syllabus template in Blackboard, which provides an outline with text areas to include specific information. If you are interested in using this method:

  1. Enter the content area.
  2. Click Build Content.
  3. Select Syllabus.
  4. Complete the template sections.
  5. Click the Submit button.
