IMPORTANT: Upgrading to Blackboard 9 document
We are holding special drop-in days devoted to helping faculty with course copies on Mon., March 22 & Tues. March 23 in our S200 office, and at the North Campus Learning Lab on Tues. March 30 from 1 – 4pm.
CFCC will be upgrading to Blackboard 9 Course Management System in between the spring and summer semesters. Please check the training page on the DL Blog for upcoming "What's New in Blackboard 9" training. All of our future "Getting Started with Blackboard" workshops will also be taught using Bb9.
In the meantime, you can check our document, What's New in Blackboard 9 (PDF) and the Blackboard Quick Tutorials Library for short movie tutorials on Bb9.

Training
If you would like training, there are several options available to you:
- There is an instructor manual which is accessible both on the Blackboard (Bb) support website mentioned above, or in your course Control Panel, in the section labeled "Support".
- There are frequent training sessions held in the TTC - watch your email to see when these sessions are announced, and sign up. You can also check the training page on the Distance Learning blog for upcoming training.
- We have an online course, self-paced Introduction to Blackboard course - (Bb 101) - that only takes a couple of hours to complete. It is a good introduction to Blackboard! All new Distance Learning instructors will be enrolled in this course. Others interested in taking the course should contact Larolyn Zylicz to be enrolled in this course.

Login Procedures
DY/NY, and IN sections:
Students are enrolled in Blackboard curriculum courses after registration and at the end of each day of drop/add. Dropped students are unenrolled from Blackboard courses during drop/add. After drop/add, faculty will only be able to BLOCK a student from their course.
Non-DL sections:
Students will automatically be enrolled in Blackboard course sites by computer services.
