Who Should Take an Online Course? Online courses enable you to adjust your learning since the courses are taught primarily via the Internet rather than in the classroom. Online courses are not easier than traditional courses. Since these courses are academically equivalent to face-to-face classes, they are designed to be just as challenging and academically rigorous. These courses contain interactive components that require students to participate in discussions with classmates. You should be:
Distance Education requires students to become
more responsible for their learning. Instructors create course materials,
develop assignments, and help answer questions. Since students do not meet
in a classroom, they must decide when and where to read the textbook and
to complete assignments. Students need to schedule time to complete assignments.
When there is some confusion, or when students need to ask questions, e-mail
the instructor. Since we do not meet in a classroom, I am not able to look
at you and determine if you have a question.
