                                         Technical Difficulties

1. Students should have met the technology pre-requsite for this course. If a student has little or no computer knowledge or access to technical support staff, then the student should think twice about enrolling in an online course.
2. If students are having trouble sending e-mail or other problems with the computer, first they should contact the instructor via telephone and leave a message explaining the problem.
3. Then they should try to troubleshoot the source. If the problem is in their home computers not sending or in their local servers, the students may need to make arrangements for another computer or to go to campus to work.
4. If the student's computer is OK and the problem is with the course download, the student should notify the instructor to see if the college can correct the problem.
5. Students are expected to submit assignments on due dates listed on the Schedule. Students should not wait until minutes before the deadlines to submit the assignments.
6. Always save work to disk and print copies. Therefore, a power or computer failure will not prevent the work from being mailed in or dropped on campus at the instructor's office.
7. Keep in mind that late work will be penalized, and it may not be accepted if the student did not notify the instructor before the deadline of a problem.
