Science is more than "facts" in textbook

Science is a process

It is a way to figure out how the world works

Non-scientists often use similar methods

Scientists assume we live in a "knowable" universe

Scientific questions (unlike philosophical ones) are the "easy" ones

We can answer them by gathering data and testing hypotheses

We answer them and move on

We accumulate knowledge in science
