Creating a New Slide Presentation
From the Start menu, select
Programs and click on Microsoft PowerPoint.

When the program comes up,
choose one of the three presentation options: AutoContent Wizard, Design Template,
or Blank presentation, and click OK.

AutoContent Wizard will
guide you through Presentation type, Presentation style, and Presentation
options. |

Presentation types cover five
areas: General, Corporate, Projects, Sales/Marketing, and Carnegie Coach. |

Presentation styles
include On-screen presentation, Web presentation, Black and white overheads,
Color overheads, and 35mm slides. |
|
Presentation options allow
for the inclusion of Presentation title and Footers including Date last
updated and Slide number. |

Design Templates offer 44
different prearranged presentation templates that include slide design,
background color, and font size, style, and color.

The following link is to a
sample presentation created with the Radar Design Template. Right click on link and click
Open New Window. After the program
opens, right click on picture and click Full Screen. Click here.
Blank presentation may be
best for creating slides with mathematics content. For this example, the Blank presentation was chosen.

Click OK to begin with a
Title Slide. With the cursor in the top portion of the new slide, type in
your main title. Move the cursor to the bottom portion and type in your
subtitle. If you have no subtitle, leave that space blank. Practice typing in various types of
slides.
