Veteran Services

All students must apply for VA education benefits at http://www.gibill.va.gov. A copy of the Certificate of Eligibility must be provided listing the correct program of study and CFCC as the student’s place of study.

It is the student’s responsibility to advise the certifying official of any drops during the semester and each time the student registers for classes. This should be done as soon as possible to avoid any breaks in funding. Pre-registration is strongly advised.

Post 9/11 (Chapter 33)

After students have registered they should call the certifying official at 910-362-7317 for an appointment to bring in the certificate and have benefits certified. Tuition and fees will be held based on eligibility and books will be reimbursed to the student based on the number of credit hours. Monthly housing will be paid for 7 hours or more.

Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30)

After students have registered and paid their tuition and fees they should call the certifying official at 910-362-7317 for an appointment to have benefits certified.

National Guard and Reserves (Chapter 1606-1607)

After students have registered and paid their tuition and fees they should call the certifying official at 910-362-7317 for an appointment to have benefits certified. Monthly benefits will be paid for 6 hours or more.

Dependents and Spouses of Disabled or Deceased Veterans (Chapter 35)

After students have registered and paid their tuition and fees they should call the certifying official at 910-362-7317 for an appointment to have benefits certified. Monthly benefits will be paid for 6 hours or more.

Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31)

Applicants must be approved for benefits by the Veterans Administration before CFCC can certify benefits.

Request for Change of Program or Place of Training

Students who received VA benefits at another school need to submit a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training form (Form 22-1995) after registering and paying for classes. Chapter 35 should submit Form 22-5495.
