If you are a current high school student, you may be eligible to enroll in college classes now through one of the following high school-college dual enrollment programs at CFCC!

Huskins Classes and Concurrent Enrollment

Open to High School Juniors and Seniors in New Hanover or Pender Counties:

Huskins classes are college-level courses that are offered primarily to high school students. While most classes are offered at local high schools, some Huskins classes meet at CFCC. Concurrent enrollment gives high school students the opportunity to enroll in classes offered in the college's regular schedule. Huskins and Concurrent Enrollment programs are ideal for highly motivated students who want to explore a career field or who want to take a science, technology, or math class that will transfer to a university.

For admissions and enrollment information, see the Huskins Program and Concurrent Enrollment Program sites.

Learn and Earn Online

Open to North Carolina High School Students:

Learn and Earn Online (LEO) is a statewide distance learning program that allows high school students to enroll in designated online courses. This program is ideal for highly motivated high school students who want to enroll in college classes but may not have the time or means to drive to a college campus.

For admissions and enrollment information, see the Learn and Earn Online site.

Early College High School

Open to Rising Ninth Graders in New Hanover and Pender Counties:

Early Colleges or Learn and Earn high schools are small, accelerated public high schools located on a college campus. Students have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and up to two years of college credit within five years. This program is ideal for motivated students who are looking for more than the traditional high school experience.

For information on the two programs at CFCC, see our Early College site. For information on the application process and deadline, please contact your respective school system.

These programs are not part of the Adult High School or GED programs at CFCC. For information about these services, visit the Basic Skills Department web page.
