Early College High School Opportunities

An early college high school is a small public school located on a college campus that offers incoming ninth graders the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate's degree within four to five years. CFCC hosts two early colleges: Pender Early College High School in Pender County and Wilmington Early College High School in New Hanover County. While each early college sets its own admission criteria, both early colleges at CFCC strive to recruit students who are looking for a high school experience that is different from the traditional high school.
