H1N1 VIRUS (SWINE FLU) & CFCC STUDENTS

CFCC has received notification that the US Dept of Health and Human Services (DHHS) determined that the H1N1 Influenza Public Health Emergency declared on April 26, 2009 expired without possibility of renewal on June 23rd, 2010.   Based on that information, CFCC is deactivating its Pandemic Plan, effective immediately.   The notice from the US Dept of Health and Human Services can be seen at http://www.flu.gov/news/h1n1pheexpiration.html.
CFCC would like to take this opportunity to thank all students, staff and visitors for their cooperation and diligence to observe the College's protocols during this on-going effort since April, 2009.
Even though the H1N1 influenza situation is no longer considered to be a public health emergency, CFCC encourages students, staff and visitors to continue practicing flu-prevention techniques.  Please continue to use the hand sanitizer available at the entrances of buildings and other strategic locations and observe proper hand-washing techniques to reduce the spread of germs.  Also, please remember to cover your mouth/nose with a tissue when you cough/sneeze.  If you do not have a tissue, please cough/sneeze into your sleeve/shoulder.  If you become ill with the flu, please avoid exposing others to your germs to the extent possible (your friends and colleagues will thank you).
What You Can Do To Stay Healthy & Reduce the Spread of Germs

CFCC thanks you in advance for your cooperation in following the above guidance to help keep CFCC a safe and healthful place to learn and work.   Be healthy!
